Partidge and Squirell Step by Step

Here is a good soft hackle pattern. Limited materials, and a  very buggy look. Work in a variety of sizes. Enjoy!

Recipe
Hook: Tiemco 200r or equivalent
Thread: Orange silk 8/0
Body: Squirrel body
Hackle: Partridge Body

Start thread at the fron of the hook.

Dub to the back of the hook

Build a small tag of thread

Wrap thread back through body, acting as ribbing

Tie in the partridge feather

Turn collar, tie off, and whip finish. Apply head cement if you so feel.
