Easy Damsel Fly nymph Step By Step

Here is a fairly simple and deadly effective damselfly pattern.  Works great when there's hatches and as a general searching pattern.

Start thread, form a small thread base, then attach the bead
chain eyes using figure eight turns.

Step 2. Wind thread to the back of the hook and tie in Olive Hackle Fibers.

Step 3. Tie in gold tinsel, then dub your thread and wrap forward, trying to create a tapered body.

Step 4. Wrap tinsel forward and tie off. Tie in the tip of the hackle.

Step 5. Wind hackle a few turns, forming a collar.

Step 6. Form a small head around eyes with dubbing, whip finish.
